About Me

Biography

Sasha Howard is a sophmore from Phoenix, MD studying Marketing at the University of Maryland. Her interests include photography, painting, and graphic design. Her photography practice explores women empowerment by creating stylized, surreal explorations of the female psyche using 1970's aesthetics. After graduating with a bachelor's degree in Marketing, she aims to work for a sustainable fashion brand while using the arts to popularize ethical consumption.

As a College Park Arts Scholar, Sasha intends to explore her research interests through her culminating Capstone project to be completed this year. She looks forward to Pentathlon events to explore various arts disciplines with her community of College Park, MD. As part of her university experience, she plans to become involved with Monumental Magazine, UMD’s Fashion Magazine, where she hopes to create photos that promote inclusivity and diversity. Her academic goals include gaining further experience in marketing through internship opportunities and graduating prepared to enter the workforce.
